The font has a big say in whether your page feels playful, elegant or beautifully plain. That is why you can decide separately for headings and for body text which font is used, how big it is and how strong it looks. You see everything in the preview immediately.
Where you set the fonts
Open the editor and click on “Stil & Schriften” (Style & fonts) at the bottom of the left sidebar.
Expand the “Schriften” (Fonts) group.
There you will find two areas: “Überschriften” (Headings) and “Fließtext” (Body text), each with the fields “Schriftart” (Font), “Größe” (Size) and “Stärke” (Weight).
The font
In the “Schriftart” field every entry is shown in its own typeface. So you can already see in the list how it feels. There are 15 fonts available for headings and 14 for body text. Without a choice of your own, your page works with Cormorant Garamond for headings and Outfit for the text.

One tip from experience: sweeping script fonts like Great Vibes or Dancing Script look wonderful in headings, but in body text they quickly become tiring. A calm text font paired with an expressive heading is nearly always the lovelier choice.
The size: S, M or L
Under “Größe” you choose between three tiles labelled S, M and L. The default is M for both. The heading size affects the headings of your sections, the body text size affects paragraphs, lists and every text you have written. If you are expecting a lot of older guests, L for the body text is a real kindness.
The weight
Under “Stärke” you decide how strongly the text is set. Headings go on “Bold” (the default) or “Regular”, body text on “Regular” (the default) or “Light”. “Regular” for headings feels calmer and more elegant. With “Light” for body text it is worth taking a careful look at the mobile preview, because fine fonts quickly turn pale on small screens.
Good to know: Size and weight deliberately do not affect the Hero area, meaning the big image with your names right at the top. It keeps its own carefully tuned typography, so that the first impression always sits perfectly.
Frequently asked questions
I chose a template and the “Schriftart” field looks empty. Is something broken?
No. The birthday templates “Bunt & Fröhlich” (Colorful & cheerful) and “Kindergeburtstag” (Children's birthday) bring along their own fonts, which are not in the selection list. That is why the field shows no matching entry and the editor preview falls back on a substitute font. On your published page the correct font is loaded. And as soon as you pick a font from the list yourself, your choice applies of course.
Can I upload a font of my own?
That is not possible at the moment. You choose from the existing fonts, all of which look reliably good on phones and computers.
Why does the big heading right at the top not change along with it?
The Hero area has its own layout and stays untouched by size and weight. The font itself does change there, though.
Do I need to do anything after the change?
Yes, click “Speichern” (Save) at the top right. The new font only becomes visible for your guests with “Veröffentlichen” (Publish).
