Combining colours and fonts so that everything fits together can take quite a while. That is exactly what the ready-made design templates are for. One click sets the font pair and all five colours of your page, and you see right away how it looks. You can switch as often as you like, it costs nothing.
Where to find the templates
Open the editor.
Click „Stil & Schriften“ (style and fonts) at the very bottom of the left sidebar.
Expand the „Vorlage“ (template) group. When the panel opens, all groups are collapsed.
Click a tile. The preview on the right updates immediately.
Each tile shows you the name, five colour circles and the font pair, for example „Playfair Display / Lato“. You recognise the active template by the tick and the highlighted frame. The back arrow next to „Stil & Schriften“ takes you back to the list of sections.
In the new editor (beta), you find the templates at the top under „Design“ in the „Vorlage“ (template) group.
These templates are available
Wedding: „Signatur“ (signature), „Klassisch Elegant“ (classic and elegant), „Modern Minimalistisch“ (modern and minimalist), „Romantisch Rosa“ (romantic pink), „Rustikal Natürlich“ (rustic and natural), „Boho Chic“ and „Schlicht & Elegant“ (simple and elegant)
Birthday: „Signatur“ (signature), „Bunt & Fröhlich“ (colourful and cheerful), „Elegant“, „Kindergeburtstag“ (children's birthday) and „Meilenstein“ (milestone)
At the very front is „Signatur“, our design in the colours and fonts of Unsere Einladung: a warm wine red, a soft rosé and, to go with them, Bellota Text for headings and Google Sans Flex for text. It feels calm and elegant and comes first when you create a new page.
At the very bottom there is also the „Benutzerdefiniert“ (custom) tile. As long as you have not chosen anything of your own, it only shows empty dashed circles.
You already chose when setting up
The setup assistant already had the step „Wähle dein Design“ (choose your design) for weddings or „Welcher Stil passt zu dir?“ (which style suits you?) for birthdays. That template is preselected in the editor. If you set up your page with the AI, „Signatur“ is already preselected there, and if you did not choose anything at all, you also start with „Signatur“.
Your own combination: „Benutzerdefiniert“
As soon as you change a font or a colour by hand, the selection automatically jumps to „Benutzerdefiniert“ (custom). That is not a mistake, it simply tells you: this design is now yours. The tile then shows your five colours and your font pair. You can also click it on purpose to keep your current combination.
The selection switches to „Benutzerdefiniert“ with these changes:
font for headings or body text
a colour of the palette
heading, body text, button or button text colour
Font sizes, font weights, corners, button size, the opening animation and the colours of individual sections, on the other hand, leave the template untouched.
Good to know: If you switch back to a ready-made template, it overwrites your own fonts and colours. Feel free to try it out and, if needed, undo the switch right away with „Rückgängig (⌘Z)“ (undo) in the top bar, as long as you have not reloaded the page.
Back to the start
At the top right of the panel, next to the heading „STIL & SCHRIFTEN“, there is a small circular arrow with the hint „Auf Standard zurücksetzen“ (reset to default). It restores the default template, which is „Signatur“, the first tile in the list. There is no confirmation prompt, the click takes effect in the preview immediately. In the new editor the button is called „Zurücksetzen“ (reset) and asks you briefly first.
Reset: template, fonts, colour palette and the four text and button colours.
Kept: font sizes, font weights, corners, button size, opening animation and the colours of individual sections.
Frequently asked questions
Does switching templates cost anything?
No. Designing is completely free, for as long and as often as you like. You only need Premium once your guests should see the page.
Why can my guests not see the new design yet?
Design changes go into your draft with „Speichern“ (save) and only become visible to everyone with „Veröffentlichen“ (publish). How that works is explained in the article about publishing your page.
Will my page change because of the new „Signatur“ design?
No. Your page keeps exactly the design you chose. „Signatur“ only comes first when you create a new page, and you can choose it yourself at any time if you like it.
I am missing a template I saw on the website.
In the editor you always see exactly the templates that belong to your event type. Designs meant for other event types do not appear there.
