Whether your page feels soft and romantic or clear and modern does not depend on color and font alone. Shape plays its part too: round or sharp corners and the size of your buttons. You will find both in the editor under “Stil & Schriften” → “Layout” (Style & fonts → Layout), and both apply to the whole page.
Corners: rounded or square
Under “Ecken” (Corners) there are two tiles with a preview rectangle to choose from:
“Abgerundet” (Rounded) is the default. Buttons, cards, images and input fields get soft corners. That feels friendly and inviting.
“Eckig” (Square) gives everything sharp edges. That feels clearer, calmer and a little more graphic.
The setting applies to your entire public page, not to individual sections. It is best to look at a card, a photo and a button in the preview, that is where you see the difference most clearly.
Button size: S, M or L
Under “Button-Größe” (Button size) you decide how large all the action buttons on your page are shown, for example the RSVP button or the links to directions. Three tiles are available:
S: around 42 pixels high on a phone, 52 pixels on a computer
M: around 46 pixels on a phone, 58 pixels on a computer. This is the default.
L: around 50 pixels on a phone, 64 pixels on a computer
Because most guests open the invitation on their phone, it is worth taking a look at the mobile preview here. Your RSVP button is allowed to be nice and big and easy to hit with a thumb. If that feels too bulky to you, M is nearly always a good middle ground.
Good to know: The corners and the button size stay as they are when you switch design template or click the circular arrow “Auf Standard zurücksetzen” (Reset to default) at the top right. If you want them back, set them here by hand to “Abgerundet” and M.
Frequently asked questions
Can I make just one section square?
No, the shape always applies to the whole page. What you can do instead is make individual sections stand out with color.
My buttons look different in the editor than on my phone.
That is intended. On a computer the buttons are shown slightly larger than on a phone, so that they feel right in both views. With the “Desktop” and “Mobile” switch in the top bar you can compare the two.
When do my guests see the change?
After “Speichern” (Save) and “Veröffentlichen” (Publish). After that the new version is visible for everyone right away.
