A page feels more alive when not everything looks the same. A dark countdown between light sections, a softly tinted area for your story: accents like these make a real difference. Every section can get its own colors for that, independently of your global design.
How to color a section
In the editor, click the section you want in the “Abschnitte” (Sections) list on the left. Alternatively you select it directly in the preview.
In the section's panel, expand the “Farben” (Colors) group.
Set “Überschriftfarbe” (heading color), “Textfarbe” (text color) or “Hintergrundfarbe” (background color). Your palette colors and every color you created yourself appear as suggestions.
Check the effect in the preview and click “Speichern” (Save) at the top right.
These three fields exist for every type of section, from the sign-up form to the gallery.
Back to the global color
Next to every field there is a “Zurücksetzen” (Reset) link. One click on it takes the special color away again and the section goes back to following your global design from “Stil & Schriften” → “Farben” (Style & fonts → Colors). So you can experiment calmly without breaking anything.
An idea for the rhythm
It looks especially calm if you simply alternate between two background colors, for example your light default and a soft shade from your palette. Do not make every section different, but deliberately lift out two or three. If you choose a dark background color, remember to set the heading and the text on it to something light, so that everything stays easy to read.
Good to know: Here you can only pick colors that already exist. If you need a completely new shade, create it first through the dashed plus circle under “Stil & Schriften” → “Farben” → “Farbpalette” (Style & fonts → Colors → Color palette). After that it is available in every section too.
Frequently asked questions
What applies when a section has its own color?
The color of the section wins. Your global design colors only take effect where you have not set anything of your own.
Does the circular arrow “Auf Standard zurücksetzen” (Reset to default) also reset my section colors?
No. The circular arrow in the “Stil & Schriften” panel only touches the template, the fonts, the palette and the four text and button colors. You take section colors away one by one with “Zurücksetzen”.
Does a whole section change color when I change the template?
Only the sections without their own colors. Wherever you have set a special color, it stays as it is.
