Anyone coming from further away wonders one thing first: where do I sleep? With the section "Übernachtung" (Accommodation) you take the searching off your guests and recommend a few hotels close to your venue. You will find it under Abschnitte → Übernachtung (Sections, then Übernachtung).
Heading and intro text
In the "Überschrift" (Heading) accordion you set the title (placeholder "Unterkünfte") and the subtitle (placeholder "Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe..."). In the "Beschreibung" (Description) accordion you write a short intro. This is a good place to mention that you have reserved rooms and which keyword to book under.
Adding a hotel
Open the "Hotels" accordion and click "Hotel hinzufügen".
Use the field "Hotel suchen" (search hotel) and type in the name of the hotel or the address. Pick the matching suggestion and the name, address, rating and often a photo too are filled in automatically.
Add the "Preis" (price, for example "ab 95€/Nacht") and the "Entfernung" (distance, for example "10 Gehminuten"). These two come from you.
You can also add the Website, Telefon (phone) and a short Beschreibung (description).
Right after the search, the settings panel already shows you the stars, the number of reviews and the distance as the crow flies. You remove a hotel with the bin icon in its header.
What your guests see
On the page each hotel becomes a card with a photo, the star rating, the address, the price, the distance and a clickable phone number. Plus the buttons "Website" and "Auf Google Maps" (on Google Maps). The Maps button appears as soon as an address is stored or you found the hotel through the search.
Good to know: The section starts with two made up sample hotels ("Heidelberger Hof" and "Zum Goldenen Hirsch"). Do replace them, otherwise you are sending your guests to hotels that do not exist.
Frequently asked questions
Can I hide the Google rating?
Not in this section, here it is always shown as soon as it is available. Only the Location section has its own switch for that.
Is there a field for the room block or the booking code?
Not as a separate field. Write both into the intro or into the description of the hotel, everyone will read it there.
Can I sort the hotels?
No, the order comes from the order in which you added them. So add your favorite hotel first.
The page says "Noch keine Unterkünfte hinterlegt".
Then the list is empty. Add a hotel or hide the section until you are ready.
