Your page stays online for one or two years, depending on what you booked. Your memories should last longer than that. That is why you can download your guests' photos at any time: a single favourite picture with one click, or all of them together in a ZIP archive.
Saving a single photo
Go to Dashboard → Galerie (gallery) and open the Gäste-Fotos (guest photos) tab. Every card has a small arrow icon in the bottom right corner. One click on it saves the original to your device. If you would like to see the picture large first, click on it. In the large view you will find the „Herunterladen" (download) button.
This works for every photo, no matter whether it has been approved, rejected or not reviewed yet.
All photos as a ZIP
Open Dashboard → Galerie (gallery). In the top right corner you will see the „Alle als ZIP" (all as ZIP) button. It appears as soon as there is at least one photo.
Click it. You will read „Dein ZIP wird gepackt …" (your ZIP is being packed) while we put the pictures together. With lots of photos this takes a moment, so keep the tab open in the meantime.
After that, the download starts by itself. The file is called something like galerie-anna-und-max.zip.
In the archive, the photos are in the order in which they were uploaded, numbered, with the guest's name in the file name, for example 001-anna.jpg. That way you will still know later who took which picture.
Good to know: The ZIP really contains everything, including the photos you rejected. Those are in the subfolder abgelehnt (rejected). That way you keep the whole celebration safe without mixing up your selection for the website.
When there are a lot of photos
One archive holds up to 500 photos. If you have collected more, a message tells you exactly that and suggests two ways: save the pictures one by one, or send us a quick note and we will send you everything. And don't worry, they are all saved anyway.
In the list itself you see the 500 newest photos. With „Mehr laden" (load more) you fetch the older ones. You don't need that for the ZIP, it always includes all photos.
Frequently asked questions
Are the pictures in the ZIP in original quality?
They are exactly the files that reached us. On your guest's phone, every picture is made a little smaller before it is uploaded, so the upload works even with poor reception. That is plenty for postcard-sized prints and for digital albums.
Are my guests' messages in the ZIP too?
No, the archive only contains the image files. You can read the messages in the gallery on the respective card, where they appear as a quote below the photo.
The download stops.
Usually it is down to a shaky connection or the tab being closed in between. Try again calmly and keep the page open until the file has arrived.
Can I still download deleted photos?
No. Deleting is final, which is why we ask first. If you are unsure, choose „Ablehnen" (reject) instead: the photo disappears from your page and you still keep it.
Are the photos kept after my term ends?
Your public page goes into rest mode after the term you booked. It's best to download the ZIP once beforehand, then you have everything safely with you.
