Your page stays online for a year, but your memories should stay much longer. That is why you can download your guests' photos whenever you like: a single favourite with one click, or all of them together in one ZIP archive.
Saving a single photo
Go to Dashboard → Galerie (gallery) and open the Gäste-Fotos (guest photos) tab. Every card has a small arrow icon at the bottom right. One click saves the original to your device. If you would like to see the picture large first, click it, and the large view offers the button „Herunterladen" (download).
This works for every photo, no matter whether it is approved, turned down or still waiting for you.
All photos as a ZIP
Open Dashboard → Galerie. The button „Alle als ZIP" (all as a ZIP) sits at the top right. It appears as soon as there is at least one photo.
Click it. You read „Dein ZIP wird gepackt …" (your ZIP is being packed) while we put the pictures together. With a lot of photos this takes a moment, so leave the tab open.
The download then starts by itself. The file is called something like galerie-anna-und-max.zip.
Inside the archive the photos sit in the order they were uploaded, numbered and with the guest's name in the file name, for example 001-anna.jpg. So even much later you still know who took which picture.
Good to know: the ZIP really does contain everything, including the photos you turned down. Those sit in the subfolder abgelehnt (rejected). That way you keep the whole celebration without muddling up the selection you made for your website.
When there are a great many photos
Up to 500 photos fit into one archive. If you collected more, a message tells you exactly that and suggests two ways on: save the pictures one by one, or drop us a line and we will send you everything. And do not worry, all of them are still safely stored.
The list itself shows the 500 most recent photos, and „Mehr laden" (load more) brings in the older ones. You do not need that for the ZIP, it always reaches for all of your photos.
Frequently asked questions
Are the pictures in the ZIP in original quality?
They are exactly the files that reached us. On your guest's phone every picture is made a little smaller before uploading, so that it works even on patchy mobile data. For postcard-sized prints and for digital albums that is plenty.
Are my guests' messages in the ZIP as well?
No, the archive holds only the image files. You read the messages in the gallery on each card, where they sit as a quote below the photo.
My download keeps breaking off.
Usually that is a shaky connection, or the tab was closed halfway through. Try again calmly and leave the page open until the file has arrived.
Can I still download deleted photos?
No. Deleting is final, which is why we ask first. If you are unsure, choose „Ablehnen" (turn down) instead: the photo disappears from your page and still stays with you.
Do the photos survive the end of the year?
Your public page goes to sleep after a year. It is best to download the ZIP once before that, then you have everything with you in peace.
