The loveliest pictures of your celebration rarely come from the professionals. They come from your guests: the view across the tables, the laughter on the dance floor, the moment nobody planned. So that none of them get lost, your guests can hand their photos straight to you. No sign-up, no app. And you always decide what actually appears on your page.
Two ways your photos reach you
Your guests can hand over their pictures in two places, and you are welcome to use both at once:
In the Galerie (gallery) section on your page: a small upload field appears below your own pictures. Lovely for everything that happens before the big day.
On a photo page of its own: it sits under your address with /fotos at the end, for example anna-und-max.unsere-einladung.de/fotos. This is the gathering place for after the party, and it is exactly where the Foto-Einsammeln (photo collection) email leads.
Both need a published page. While you are still designing in peace, your guests will not see anything there.
Switching on uploads in the gallery
Open the editor and click your Galerie section in the preview.
Expand Gäste-Uploads (guest uploads) on the right and turn on „Gäste-Uploads erlauben" (allow guest uploads).
In the field „Hinweistext" (note for your guests) you can add a few words of your own, for example „Teilt eure Fotos mit uns" (share your photos with us).
Click „Veröffentlichen" (publish) so your guests really see the field.
Below your gallery your guests then find a name field, „Euer Name (optional)", and the button „Bilder hochladen" (upload photos). Several pictures at once are fine, and a little progress line counts them along.
The photo page of its own
This page appears automatically as soon as your site is online and either the gallery upload or the photo collection is active. Your guests see your names, your fonts and your button colour there, so it feels like your invitation. Here is how it goes for them:
Tap „Fotos auswählen" (choose photos) and mark several pictures at once. Small preview tiles appear afterwards. Single pictures can be removed again with the x, and „Weitere Fotos auswählen" (choose more photos) adds new ones.
The field „Euer Name" (your name) says who the pictures are from. It is optional, but it helps you sort things later.
Under „Euer Gruß" (your message) there is room for a few words about the pictures, up to 500 characters. You will see that message next to the photos in your dashboard.
„Fotos senden" (send photos) starts the upload. A bar shows „Foto 2 von 7" (photo 2 of 7), and then comes the confirmation „Eure Fotos sind angekommen" (your photos have arrived) with the button „Noch mehr Fotos senden" (send more photos).
If your invitation is protected by a password, the same password applies here. Anyone who has already opened the invitation will not be asked a second time.
What happens after the upload
Every photo lands in your queue first, not on your page. You find it under Dashboard → Galerie and either approve it or turn it down. Only your approval puts it into the gallery on your page, and you do not need to publish again for that.
Good to know: your guests are told this too. After uploading they read „Vielen Dank! Nach einem kurzen Blick schalten wir sie frei." (Thank you! We will take a quick look and put them online.) So nobody is left wondering why their picture is not showing up right away.
Frequently asked questions
Do my guests need an account?
No. No account, no app, no download. They open the link and upload. Only if your page is password protected do they enter the password once.
How large may the pictures be?
Nobody needs to think about that. Every picture is resized right on the phone before it travels, so it stays quick even on patchy mobile data. Your guests read the line „Eure Bilder werden automatisch verkleinert" (your photos are resized automatically). JPEG, PNG, WEBP and GIF are allowed.
How many photos can be sent at once?
Up to ten pictures per batch. If a guest picks more, they see the note „Bitte wählt höchstens 10 Bilder auf einmal aus. Die übrigen könnt ihr gleich danach senden." (Please choose no more than 10 at a time. You can send the rest right after.) Then they simply carry on.
My guests see „Der Foto-Upload ist gerade nicht aktiv".
That means neither the gallery upload nor the photo collection is switched on. Turn on one of the two and the page will accept photos.
Can a guest add a message to their pictures?
On the photo page, yes, there is the field „Euer Gruß". In the gallery on your page we only ask for a name, so that the upload there stays as short as possible.
Can the photo page be found on Google?
No, it is closed to search engines. It is meant only for the people you send the link to.
