The Anmeldung (RSVP) section is the heart of your page. This is where your guests say yes or no, and afterwards your dashboard shows you exactly who's coming, who's bringing someone and who's vegetarian. For birthdays, the form is already written in the first person, with the title “Bist du dabei?” (Are you in?) and a warm thank-you after sending.
Title and description
Open Abschnitte → Anmeldung (Sections → RSVP) and expand Überschrift (heading). There you'll find the title and the short description below it. If you'd rather leave out one of the two lines, simply delete the text completely. Then we won't show it on your page, and no empty gap is left behind.
Showing an RSVP deadline
Open Abschnitte → Anmeldung and expand Deadline. Turn on “Deadline anzeigen” (show deadline), write your deadline text (preset: “Bitte melde dich bis zum”, please reply by) and pick the deadline date in the calendar. Your guests then see the note right above the form.
Below it, you'll find the “Deadline-Text für Allein-Eingeladene” field (deadline text for guests invited on their own). It only applies to the shared link without a plus-one, in case you'd like different words there. Leaving it empty is completely fine: for birthdays the deadline text is already in the singular, and we never change a sentence you've written yourself.
Locking replies after they're sent
Under Abschnitte → Anmeldung, expand Antworten sperren (lock replies). There you'll find the “Antworten nach dem Absenden sperren” switch (lock replies after sending). When it's on, every yes and no stays exactly as your guests sent it. Right above the send button, they read beforehand: “Nach dem Absenden kannst du deine Antwort nicht mehr selbst ändern. Wenn sich etwas ändert, melde dich einfach bei mir.” (Once you've sent your reply, you can't change it yourself. If anything changes, just get in touch with me.) Anyone who answers “Vielleicht” (maybe) can still decide later.
The switch is saved immediately and applies right away, without publishing again. You'll find the same switch on the Rückmeldungen (Responses) page. How to still let individual guests make a change is explained in the article “Lock replies after they're sent”.
Choosing what you'd like to know
In the Formularfelder (form fields) area, you switch each question on or off individually:
Contact details: “E-Mail-Feld anzeigen” (show email field) and “Telefon-Feld anzeigen” (show phone field), each with a second switch that makes the field required
Answer options: with “Noch unsicher” erlauben (allow “not sure yet”), your guests get a maybe as well as yes and no. It's switched on by default and later shows up as its own status in your guest list.
Paar-Anmeldung (couple RSVP): first and last name for two people instead of one, plus the “Ich komme alleine” (I'm coming on my own) checkbox for the guest. The second person is only required for a yes.
Plus-one and children: each with its own label. For children, “Namen abfragen” (ask for names) also switches on the name fields: the first name is required, and without their own last name, a child gets the guest's.
Food: “Ernährungsweise abfragen” (ask about dietary preferences) and “Allergien abfragen” (ask about allergies)
Extras: “Musikwunsch abfragen” (ask for a song request), “Übernachtung abfragen” (ask about accommodation) and “Shuttle abfragen” (ask about a shuttle)
Message: a free text field with its own heading, for example “Nachricht an mich” (message to me)
Good to know: If you switch on Paar-Anmeldung (couple RSVP), “Begleitung abfragen” (ask about a plus-one) is greyed out with the note “Nicht bei Paar-Anmeldung” (not with couple RSVP). The two don't work together, because the second person's name fields already cover the plus-one.
What your guests actually see
The answer options are “Ja” (yes), “Nein” (no) and, if allowed, “Vielleicht” (maybe).
They enter their name in two required fields, “Vorname” (first name) and “Nachname” (last name), and the same goes for a plus-one. For children, a first name is enough, with the note “Den Nachnamen musst du nur eintragen, wenn er anders ist als deiner.” (You only need to enter the last name if it's different from yours.)
All further questions only appear for “Ja” or “Vielleicht”. Anyone who declines gets a short form and doesn't have to click through questions about allergies.
Email and phone stay visible for a decline too, if you've switched those fields on. They're only required if you've set them up that way.
The dietary options are “Keine Einschränkungen” (no restrictions), “Vegetarisch” (vegetarian), “Vegan”, “Pescetarisch” (pescatarian) and “Sonstiges” (other).
As long as the reply lock is off, your guests can still change their reply later: through their personal link or with the same name and the same email address as the first time. The new reply then replaces the old one.
The messages after sending
In the Bestätigungs-Texte (confirmation texts) area, you write what your guests read after clicking: confirmation title, message for a yes and message for a no. This is the moment your guests feel happy. A personal sentence means more here than any design.
Frequently asked questions
I can't click “Anmeldung absenden” (send RSVP) in the editor.
In the editor you only see a preview, so the form can't be sent there. Real RSVPs are possible as soon as your page is published. You need Premium to publish, setting up the form is free.
Where do the replies end up?
Every RSVP appears in your dashboard under Gäste (Guests), and you get a notification via the bell.
A guest would like to change their reply.
As long as the reply lock is off, they can simply do it themselves: they send the form again through their personal link, or without the link using the same name and the same email address as the first time. If you've switched the lock on, their personal link only shows their yes or no to read through. Then you change it yourself under Gäste (Guests) with “Antwort ändern” (change answer) in the three-dot menu, or you let them reply once more themselves with “Änderung erlauben” (allow change) in the same menu.
Do guests who have already replied need to enter anything again?
No. All replies stay as they are. When a guest opens their personal link, their first and last name from your guest list are already filled in. Anything that's pre-filled and that they don't change stays exactly as it is, even if, for example, only a first name is saved. Both fields are only needed for new people and for names the guest changes themselves.
I can't change the subtitle of the RSVP section.
That's right, only the title and description can be edited here. The subtitle is set automatically when the section is created, for example “Laura freut sich auf deine Zusage” (Laura is looking forward to your RSVP). Just write your personal greeting into the description.
