At some point it all gets real. The caterer wants numbers, the seating plan is waiting, and a few of your guests have surely just lost sight of your invitation. Two things help with that, and they sit in the same place: an RSVP deadline on your page, and a kind reminder for everyone you have not heard from yet.
Where you find both of them
In your dashboard, click Webseite (website) on the left and switch to the tab „Einstellungen" (settings) at the top. Right at the top sits the card „Antwortfrist" (RSVP deadline) with the line „Bis wann sollen deine Gäste zu- oder absagen? Das Datum steht dann bei der Anmeldung auf deiner Seite." (by when should your guests accept or decline? The date then appears with the sign-up on your page).
If your page has no section for accepting and declining at the moment, you will see a note instead of the date field: „Deine Seite hat gerade keinen Bereich für Zu- und Absagen. Füge ihn im Editor hinzu, dann kannst du hier auch eine Frist setzen." (your page currently has no area for accepting and declining, add it in the editor and then you can set a deadline here). Without that section there would be nowhere for the deadline to appear.
Setting, changing and removing the deadline
Pick your date in the field „Datum" (date). Underneath it says „Ohne Datum fragen wir ohne Frist. Ändern kannst du das jederzeit." (without a date we ask without a deadline, and you can change that at any time).
Click „Frist speichern" (save deadline). You will briefly read „Deine Antwortfrist ist gespeichert." (your RSVP deadline has been saved).
After that the card shows a small tile with „Eure Antwortfrist: 12. Juni 2026" (your RSVP deadline: 12 June 2026) and, below it, how much time is left:
„Noch 14 Tage, dann ist eure Frist erreicht." (14 days to go until your deadline)
„Morgen ist es so weit." (tomorrow is the day)
„Heute läuft eure Frist ab." (your deadline runs out today)
„Die Frist ist vorbei. Neue Antworten sind weiterhin möglich." (the deadline has passed, new replies are still possible)
If you want to move the date, click „Frist anpassen" (adjust deadline). If you would rather have no deadline on your page at all, use the link „Frist entfernen" (remove deadline) below the tile. Both take effect immediately, you do not need to publish again for it.
On your page the date appears as a small note above the sign-up form, for example „Bitte meldet euch bis zum 12. Juni 2026" (please reply by 12 June 2026). You can word the sentence in front of it yourself in the editor: click your Anmeldung (sign-up) section, open Deadline on the right and write your own words in the field „Deadline-Text" (deadline text). Right below it sits „Deadline-Text für Allein-Eingeladene" (deadline text for guests invited on their own), which only counts for the link you send to guests without a plus one. If you leave that field empty, the untouched standard sentence switches to the singular there by itself in German, while in English it reads „Please reply by" either way. Your own text stays exactly as it is.
Good to know: The deadline is a friendly nudge, not a barrier. After the day itself your sign-up form stays open and latecomers can still reply. That is exactly why your dashboard says „Neue Antworten sind weiterhin möglich." (new replies are still possible).
Reminding everyone you have not heard from
Right below the deadline lives the area „Gäste erinnern" (remind guests) with the line „Erinnere alle, die noch nicht geantwortet haben, mit einer eigenen Mail." (remind everyone who has not replied yet with an email of your own).
Switch on the toggle to the right of the heading. Only then does the area open up and we start counting for you.
Have a look at the tile „Noch ohne Rückmeldung" (still no reply). It says something like „7 Gäste haben noch nicht geantwortet und sind per E-Mail erreichbar." (7 guests have not replied yet and can be reached by email).
Click „Mail anpassen" (customise email) and write your message. In the dialog „Erinnerung anpassen" (customise reminder) there is a field for the Betreff (subject) and one for the Nachricht (message), and the Vorschau (preview) follows along on the right. Click „Speichern" (save), after that the card says „Individuell angepasst" (customised) instead of „Standard-Text aktiv" (default text active).
Click „Erinnerung senden" (send reminder). We ask once more: „Erinnerung jetzt senden?" (send the reminder now?) with the note „Alle Gäste ohne Antwort bekommen deine Nachricht sofort. Wer schon zu- oder abgesagt hat, bleibt außen vor." (every guest without a reply gets your message right away, anyone who has already accepted or declined stays out of it).
Confirm, and the emails go out. You will read „Deine Erinnerung ist unterwegs an 7 Gäste." (your reminder is on its way to 7 guests).
After that the card shows „Zuletzt erinnert am 12. Juni 2026, an 7 Gäste." (last reminded on 12 June 2026, to 7 guests), so you always know when you last got in touch.
Two placeholders help you while writing: {gastname} is replaced by your guest's first name, {eventname} by the name of your event. If somebody has no first name saved, we warmly write „ihr Lieben" (dear ones) instead.
Who gets the reminder
Everyone without a reply. Anyone who has accepted, declined or clicked „vielleicht" (maybe) stays out of it. So nobody who answered long ago gets asked again.
Only guests with an email address. Without an address we cannot write to anyone. Those guests are best asked in person, or you simply give them the link yourself.
Also the ones who have not been sent an invitation yet. That is on purpose, because sometimes an invitation has found its way to somebody through another route.
Every email contains your guest's personal link, so the sign-up form is already set up for them. On that guest's detail page you will then see the entry „Erinnerung gesendet" (reminder sent).
What the email says
Right at the top there is the line „Seid ihr dabei?" (are you coming?) and your event title below it. Then comes your text. If a deadline is set and has not passed yet, we add „Bitte antwortet bis zum 12. Juni 2026." (please reply by 12 June 2026). If it has passed already, we leave that line out so the message does not sound like a reproach. At the very end there is the button „Jetzt antworten" (reply now).
If you write nothing at all, our default text goes out. The subject line is then „Kleine Erinnerung zu {eventname}" (a little reminder about {eventname}) and the message stays warm and short. For most celebrations that already fits very well.
What needs to be in place
Your page is published. Otherwise your guests could not reply at all, and we tell you so.
Your term is running. Without it the button is greyed out and underneath it says „Zum Verschicken braucht deine Seite eine aktive Laufzeit. Deinen Text kannst du schon jetzt vorbereiten." (to send, your page needs an active term, and you can prepare your text already now).
The toggle at „Gäste erinnern" (remind guests) is on.
There is at least one guest waiting. Otherwise you read „Gerade wartet niemand auf eine Erinnerung. Sobald jemand ohne Antwort eine E-Mail-Adresse hat, kannst du von hier losschicken." (nobody is waiting for a reminder right now, as soon as someone without a reply has an email address you can send from here).
There are 24 hours between two reminders. If you click sooner, we gently say „Du hast gerade erst erinnert. Gib deinen Gästen einen Moment." (you have only just sent a reminder, give your guests a moment).
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference to „Erinnern" (remind) under the invitations?
Under Einladungen (invitations) you send one single guest the same invitation again. Here you write a reminder email of your own and it goes out in one go to everyone you have not heard from.
What happens if I switch the toggle off again?
Nothing gets lost. Your subject line, your message and the last send stay saved. You just cannot send anything while it is off.
Can I send the email to myself first?
Not that, but the preview in the „Mail anpassen" (customise email) window shows you exactly what your guests will get, subject line, text and button included.
Can I remind people more than once?
Yes, with a day in between each time. Two friendly nudges are usually enough, after that a short phone call often helps more than a third email.
Do I have to publish after setting the deadline?
No. The date is on your page straight away, and the same goes for removing it.
Can I close the sign-up form after the deadline?
There is no switch for that at the moment. If you do not want any more replies, simply hide the section for accepting and declining in the editor.
