Changing your date, names and RSVP deadline

How to update the details that appear on your event page and in your emails, and where the reply deadline lives now.

Written by Max Weber

The date has moved, a name was spelled wrong or you want to adjust the deadline for replies? You change the date and the names in the settings, the deadline over at your website. Both flow through your page and your emails automatically.

Date and names

  1. Open Einstellungen → Allgemein (Settings → General) and go to the card „Allgemeine Einstellungen" (General settings).

  2. Set your date with „Datum auswählen" (Select date).

  3. Enter your names. For a wedding these are „Name (Person 1)" and „Name (Person 2)", for a birthday it is „Name des Geburtstagskinds" (name of the birthday person) and optionally the „Alter (optional)" (age, optional).

  4. Click „Änderungen speichern" (Save changes). The button briefly shows „Gespeichert" (Saved).

Your names automatically become the title of your event, for example Hochzeit Max & Julia or Maxs 30. Geburtstag. For a birthday, the age shapes this title too.

The reply deadline

You now set the date by which your guests should accept or decline under Webseite → Tab „Einstellungen" (Website, then the Settings tab) in the card „Antwortfrist" (reply deadline). It moved there because it belongs to your public page and now sits next to the preview, the address and the password protection.

  1. Open Webseite (Website) in your dashboard and switch to the tab „Einstellungen" (Settings) at the top.

  2. Pick your deadline in the field „Datum" (date). Without a date we simply ask without a deadline, which is perfectly fine.

  3. Click „Frist speichern" (save deadline).

The date is passed straight into your RSVP section and shown there for your guests. In the settings under Allgemein (General), all that is left in the old place is the signpost „Passwortschutz und Antwortfrist" (password protection and reply deadline), so you do not search in vain.

If your page currently has no section for accepting and declining at all, the card carries a note with the way into the editor instead of the date field. Without that section there would be nowhere for the deadline to appear.

Good to know: If your page is already online, go into the editor once after saving and click „Veröffentlichen" (Publish). That way you can be sure your guests really see the latest version.

Frequently asked questions

That's right, it is created automatically from your names and, for a birthday, from the age. Change the names and the title changes with them.

I'm seeing the details of a different celebration.
Then another event is currently selected. Switch to the right one under Meine Events (My events) and open the settings again.

Where do I change the headings on the page itself?
You edit all the texts of your page in the editor. The settings only hold the basic details that get filled in automatically everywhere.
