Talking about gifts often feels awkward. On your page it is easy: one warm sentence from you, and the options underneath. Your guests are usually really grateful, because they finally know what you would truly love. You will find the section under Abschnitte → Geschenke (Sections, then Geschenke).
Heading and your personal words
In the "Überschrift" (Heading) accordion you set the title (placeholder "Geschenke") and the subtitle (placeholder "Eure Anwesenheit ist uns das größte Geschenk..."). In the "Nachricht" (Message) accordion you write your personal text into the field "Beschreibung" (description). One or two warm sentences are plenty.
Adding your bank details
Open the "Bankverbindung" (bank details) accordion and switch on "Bankverbindung anzeigen".
Enter the Kontoinhaber, IBAN, BIC, Bank and Verwendungszweck (account holder, IBAN, BIC, bank and payment reference).
This becomes a "Bankverbindung" card on your page with a copy button next to every value. So your guests do not have to type the IBAN by hand. Fields you leave empty are simply not shown.
Good to know: A sample IBAN is stored when you add the section (DE89 3704 0044 0532 0130 00, Commerzbank). Do replace it with your real account details, otherwise your guests transfer money into nowhere. This is the most common mistake before publishing.
PayPal and wish list
The "Weitere Optionen" (more options) accordion offers two more ways:
PayPal: switch it on and enter your link (an address in the paypal.me style, for example).
Wunschliste: the wish list. Switch it on and enter the link to your list at any provider you like.
Both buttons only appear when the switch is on and a link has been stored.
Frequently asked questions
Can I add single gifts that guests can reserve?
Not for a wedding. This section works with your text, your bank details and links. An internal wish list with individual wishes only exists for the birthday event type.
Is there a progress bar for our savings goal?
No, there is no progress bar. Feel free to write your goal into the message, your honeymoon for example.
The page says "Noch keine Geschenke-Infos vorhanden".
Then neither the text nor the bank details nor any links are filled in. Add at least one of them or hide the section.
Are my account details safe?
They are as public on your page as everything else. If that feels too open, use a password for your page or leave out the IBAN and offer only the PayPal link.
