The closer your big day gets, the more often you look at one question: how many people have actually replied? That is exactly what the four tiles above your guest list are for, and below them the search, the filters and the sorting help you find any name right away. You will find all of it in your dashboard under Gäste (guests).
The four figures
Gesamt (total): everyone in your list, including companions that were added automatically.
Zugesagt (accepted): everyone who accepted in the sign-up form.
Abgesagt (declined): everyone who declined.
Ausstehend (pending): everyone you do not have a firm answer from yet.
For Zugesagt, Abgesagt and Ausstehend you also see the percentage in relation to your total number of guests.
As soon as children are signed up, „Gesamt" and „Zugesagt" carry their number as a small addition, for example „+ 3 Kinder" (plus 3 children). Children do not have an entry of their own in the list, which is why they sit next to the big number rather than inside it. On „Zugesagt" the percentage steps aside for it, because the number of children is nowhere else and cannot be worked out.
Good to know: „Ausstehend" holds two groups: guests who have not replied at all, and guests who answered „Vielleicht" (maybe). When the numbers do not seem to add up, that is usually the explanation.
There is also a small number on the menu item „Gäste" (guests) in the navigation. It has two states: as long as nobody has accepted yet, it quietly shows in grey how many guests you have added. From the first acceptance onwards it switches to the brand colour and shows how many people are coming, children included.
Finding one guest
Just type the name into the field „Gast suchen …" (search for a guest) above the table. The search looks at first name, last name, email address, household name and the names of the children.
You search for people and you find sign-ups: if the name of a child or a companion matches, you always get the whole sign-up, main guest included. So if you search for „Mia", Mia stands there with her family instead of as a single row without context.
It is even quicker from any page in your dashboard: open the search in the top bar or press ⌘K or Ctrl+K, type at least two letters and pick the guest with the arrow keys and Enter. You land straight on their profile. The quick search shows up to five guests and looks through names and email addresses.
Filtering and sorting
Status: „Alle Status" (all statuses), „Ausstehend", „Zugesagt", „Abgesagt" or „Vielleicht".
Gruppe (group): „Alle Gruppen" (all groups) plus every group that belongs to your event type.
Sortierung (sorting): on a computer you click a column heading, so „Name", „E-Mail", „Gruppe" or „Status". A second click reverses the order.
Search and filters work together. If you search for „Müller" and filter for „Ausstehend" at the same time, you only get the Müllers without a reply. When you see „Keine Gäste gefunden. Versuche andere Filter." (no guests found, try different filters), set the filters back to „Alle Status" and „Alle Gruppen".
The sorting is not saved, so on your next visit the list is alphabetical by name again.
One sign-up, one block
Everyone who belongs together stays together, no matter how you sort:
The companion with a name of their own is an ordinary row right below their main guest, with their own email, their own group, their own status and their own menu. The two are joined by a fine vertical line between their circles.
The children sit indented below, each as its own row with the label „Kind" (child). A confirmed companion with no name entered gets an indented row in just the same way, labelled „Begleitung" (companion). You cannot click either of these, they belong to the reply of their guest.
Inside a household there is no dividing line. It only comes after the last row, so the whole block reads as a single sign-up.
If the note „Möglicher Doppeleintrag" (possible duplicate) sits next to a name, somebody signed up through your page who is probably already in your list. On a phone you find the note one line below, next to the group. How you turn the two rows into one is explained in the article „Gäste hinzufügen, bearbeiten und löschen". If they really are two different people, choose „Kein Doppeleintrag" (not a duplicate) in the three-dot menu and the note is gone. It also disappears when you edit the entry and save it.
Good to know: Filters and search only change what you see on screen. The CSV export and the bulk sending of invitations ignore them.
Frequently asked questions
I am seeing the guest list of a different event.
The guest list, the replies and the search always belong to the event that is currently active. Switch it under Meine Events (my events) and your list is right again. After you change devices, the event you created most recently is loaded automatically.
My list is empty even though I added guests.
Check whether a filter or a search term is still active. If there really is no guest yet, the card „Noch keine Gäste" (no guests yet) welcomes you with the buttons „CSV importieren" (import CSV) and „Gast hinzufügen" (add guest).
