Working through the setup checklist

The six steps to a finished invitation, how the ticks appear and how you hide the card.

Written by Max Weber

At the beginning, a page like this can feel like a lot. So that you do not forget anything, the „Einrichtung" (setup) card keeps you company on your overview. It shows your progress as „x / 6" with a progress bar and walks you step by step to a finished invitation.

The six steps

  1. Datum & Details (date and details): saving your date and the most important facts about your event.

  2. Seite gestalten (design your page): adjusting texts, images and design in the editor.

  3. Gäste hinzufügen (add guests): getting the first names onto your guest list.

  4. Premium freischalten (unlock Premium): the one-off purchase, so your page is allowed to go online.

  5. Veröffentlichen (publish): taking your page live.

  6. Einladungen versenden (send invitations): inviting your guests by email.

A click on the card always takes you straight to your next open step. So you never have to remember where everything lives.

How the ticks appear

You do not have to tick anything off, that happens automatically. A step counts as done as soon as you have set a date, worked on your page in the editor, added at least one guest, bought Premium, published your page or sent at least one invitation.

Good to know: The tick next to „Seite gestalten" appears as soon as anything on your event has been changed after you created it. So it does not mean your page is finished. Do have another look in the editor anyway.

Two steps need Premium

Designing costs nothing. But „Veröffentlichen" and „Einladungen versenden" only unlock once you have bought Premium. If you click them before that, you land under Einstellungen → Abo (Settings → Subscription), where the price and everything included for your type of event are waiting. How going live works from there is described in the article „Deine Seite veröffentlichen" (publishing your page).

Hiding the card

If you would rather plan without a checklist, click „Einrichtung ausblenden" (hide setup) below the card. It then disappears for good and does not come back on its own. You can still reach every step as usual through the navigation on the left. And by the way, once all six points are done, the card hides itself.

Frequently asked questions

I have finished a step but the tick is missing.
Reload your overview once. Also make sure you are in the right event, because the checklist always belongs to the event you currently have selected.

Do I have to do the steps in this order?
No. The order is only a suggestion that has proven itself in practice. You can jump around whenever you like.
