"Your link does not work for me." That message almost always comes down to a small thing that is quickly sorted out. Here are the typical cases and how you spot them. It helps to open your link yourself at the same time, ideally on your phone.
„Seite nicht gefunden" (page not found)
Your guest sees „Diese Event-Seite existiert nicht oder ist nicht mehr verfügbar." (this event page does not exist or is no longer available). Usually there is a typo in the address, or the link got cut off while copying. So always grab your link fresh: under Dashboard → Webseite (Dashboard → Website) with the copy button, under Einstellungen → Subdomain (Settings → Subdomain) or with the copy button under Einladungen (Invitations). The same message appears when you have changed your address and your guest is still using the old one.
„Bald verfügbar" (coming soon)
If it says „Diese Seite wird gerade vorbereitet und ist bald für euch erreichbar." (this page is being prepared and will be there for you soon), your page is there technically but not public. There are three possible reasons:
You have not clicked „Veröffentlichen" (publish) yet. Under Dashboard → Webseite you will see the badge „Entwurf" (draft) in that case.
You deliberately took your page offline.
Your year has run out. Then you extend under Einstellungen → Abo (Settings → Subscription), and your draft stays completely intact.
My changes are missing
Your guest reaches the page but still sees the old time or an old photo. Then your changes are still sitting in the editor as a draft. Click „Veröffentlichen" at the top right once more and the new version is taken over. It works just as well under Dashboard → Webseite with „Aktualisieren" (update). The badge „Änderungen warten" (changes waiting) tells you there that something is still open. In rare cases it takes up to a minute until every visitor really sees the new version.
A password is being asked for
Then your password protection is switched on. Send your guests the password along with the link. You will find it in plain text at any time under Dashboard → Webseite in the card „Passwortschutz" (password protection).
Good to know: If the chat still shows an old preview image or an old title, your page is up to date all the same. Messengers keep that preview card in store for a while. A new chat or a click on the link shows the real state.
Frequently asked questions
My guest does not see the English page.
In the editor, check under Stil & Schriften → Sprache (Style & Fonts → Language) whether the English version is switched on and translated, then publish once more. Without an active English version, the address with /en simply shows the German page.
Do my guests see a cookie banner?
No. There is no banner on your event page, your guests come straight to the invitation.
Can I remove the note „Erstellt mit Unsere Einladung" at the bottom of the page?
No, that little note is a fixed part of the page. In English it reads „Created with Unsere Einladung".
I cannot get onto my own page, but my guests can.
That is usually down to your browser cache. Reload the page once or open it in a private window.
