The RSVP form is the heart of your page. This is where your guests accept, tell you whether they are bringing someone, what they eat and which song they really want to hear. Every answer lands in your guest list automatically, you do not have to type anything. You will find the section under Abschnitte → Anmeldung (Sections, then RSVP).
Intro text and reply deadline
In the "Überschrift" (Heading) accordion you write the title (placeholder "Anmeldung") and a short description. You set a reply deadline in the "Deadline" accordion: switch on "Deadline anzeigen", then choose the "Deadline-Text" (for example "Bitte meldet euch bis zum") and the "Deadline-Datum" (the deadline date).
Good to know: The deadline badge only appears when the switch is on and the text and the date are both set. If one of them is missing, it stays invisible.
Which fields your guests fill in
Everything else sits in the "Formularfelder" (form fields) accordion. The name is always required and cannot be switched off, everything else is up to you:
E-Mail und Telefon: one switch each to show the field and, indented below it, "E-Mail erforderlich" or "Telefon erforderlich" to make it mandatory. If you switch the field off, the requirement disappears with it.
"Noch unsicher" erlauben: gives your guests the answer "Vielleicht" (maybe) alongside yes and no.
Paar-Anmeldung: the couple RSVP, with two name fields for couples who reply together.
Begleitung: asks whether someone is coming along. You can change the wording ("Begleitung" means plus one).
Kinder: children, from "Keine Kinder" up to "4+ Kinder", with the names of the children if you like (four name fields at most).
Ernährungsweise und Allergien: diet and allergies. Your guests choose between "Keine Einschränkungen", "Vegetarisch", "Vegan", "Pescetarisch" and "Sonstiges" and type in allergies freely.
Musikwunsch: the song request, so the loveliest playlist writes itself. You can adjust the wording.
Übernachtung und Shuttle: two checkboxes for who needs a room and a shuttle. The labels are fixed, here you only have the on and off switch.
Nachricht: a free text field with its own heading and its own placeholder text.
Two switches affect each other: as soon as Paar-Anmeldung (the couple RSVP) is on, "Begleitung abfragen" is deactivated automatically and the editor shows the note "Nicht bei Paar-Anmeldung". Instead, your guests can tick in the form that they are coming on their own.
If a plus one comes along or the couple RSVP is active, diet and allergies are asked separately for both people.
Texts after a yes and after a no
In the "Bestätigungs-Texte" (confirmation texts) accordion you word the confirmation title, the message after a yes and the message after a no. Take a moment for this: it is the last sentence your guests read from you after they have accepted.
Where the answers end up
Every reply shows up right away under Gäste and Rückmeldungen (Guests and Replies) and announces itself through the bell icon in your dashboard as "Neue Zusage", "Vielleicht-Antwort" or "Absage erhalten". 🎉
Frequently asked questions
Can I add my own questions?
No, the fields are fixed. The message field is the place for anything extra, and you can word its heading however you like.
Can guests choose their dish?
No, there is no menu choice in the form. You ask for diet and allergies and plan with that.
What happens when someone declines?
Then the form hides all the extra fields and the button reads "Absage senden".
A guest says she cannot sign up a second time.
That is right. One name can only reply once, otherwise the message "Du hast dich bereits angemeldet. Eine erneute Anmeldung ist nicht möglich." appears. You add any changes in the guest list yourself.
Why can nobody accept yet?
The form only works once your page is published. You need Premium for that: a one time payment of 89 € instead of 149 € for a whole year, and the launch discount is deducted automatically. After that you click "Veröffentlichen" in the editor once.
