Two sections make the anticipation tangible: the Tagesablauf (Schedule) shows what happens when as a timeline, and the Countdown counts down the days until your celebration. Both are quick to set up.
Filling your party schedule
In the section list it is called “Tagesablauf”, on your page the heading above it reads “Partyablauf” (Party schedule). It already comes prefilled with five example entries: Ankommen & Begrüßung, Kaffee & Kuchen, Spiele & Unterhaltung, Abendessen and Party!
Open Abschnitte → Tagesablauf and expand Programmpunkte (Schedule items). The number behind it tells you how many there are right now.
Click an item and fill in “Uhrzeit” (Time), “Titel” (Title) and “Beschreibung” (Description).
With “Programmpunkt hinzufügen” (Add schedule item) you add more stops along the day.
The up and down arrows in the header sort the items, the bin icon deletes one.
The quickest way is to simply overwrite the five examples and delete whatever is not happening at your party. If you leave the time out, only a small dash stays in the time badge, which is handy for entries like “Später am Abend” (Later in the evening).
Good to know: The title field shows “z.B. Trauung” (e.g. ceremony) as a placeholder. That is a leftover from the wedding version and does no harm. It is gone as soon as you type your own title.
Adding the countdown
The Countdown section is not automatically included for a birthday. If you did not pick it when you set your page up, bring it in through “Abschnitt hinzufügen” (Add section) and the “Countdown” tile.
Überschrift (Heading): adjust the title and subtitle, the default is “Noch so viele Tage bis zur Party” (Only this many days until the party).
Stil (Style): under Anzeige (Display) you choose between “Boxen” (Boxes), “Inline” and “Minimal”.
Einheiten (Units): days, hours and minutes are on, seconds are off. With the “Minimal” style these toggles disappear, because that style only shows the remaining days.
The countdown takes its date from Einstellungen → Datum der Feier (Settings → Date of the celebration). If it is missing, your page says “Kein Datum festgelegt” (No date set) and the editor reminds you to set a date in the settings. Once the big day arrives, the display switches to “Der große Tag ist da!” (The big day is here!).
Frequently asked questions
I already have a countdown in the Hero. Do I still need the section?
No. The countdown in the Hero and the Countdown section are independent of each other. Take whichever suits your page better, or show both if you like.
My countdown is not counting.
Then the date of the celebration is missing in your settings. Enter it there and the display in the Hero and in the Countdown section starts running right away.
My page says “Noch keine Programmpunkte hinzugefügt” (No schedule items added yet).
You have deleted all the items. Add at least one new one through “Programmpunkt hinzufügen”, or hide the section if you would rather not show a schedule.
