Not every invitation goes out by email. You'll reach many guests faster on WhatsApp, by text message or on the phone with grandma. So that your list is still accurate, every guest has a personal link, and you can note who you've already invited.

Every guest you add or import automatically gets an 8-character code made of capital letters and digits. Easily confused characters such as I, O, 0 and 1 are left out, so reading it aloud and typing it in works. The code can't be chosen or regenerated.

Guests who signed up themselves through your general link, and plus-ones with their own entry, start without a code. They get theirs the first time you choose “Link kopieren” (copy link) for them.

Anyone who replies through their personal link is automatically matched to the right person in your guest list. Without a code, the page can't know that and creates a new guest.

The link looks like this: https://deine-adresse.unsere-einladung.de?code=ABCD1234. If you haven't chosen your address yet, a general link is created instead. So it's best to set your address first under Einstellungen → Subdomain (Settings → Subdomain).

If you invited someone in person, by phone or by post, set them to “Als eingeladen markieren” (mark as invited) in the three-dot menu. That way you'll know at a glance who you've already reached, and this guest won't be contacted again in a later bulk send. Nothing is sent, it's just a note for you.

After that, “Per E-Mail einladen” (invite by email) and “Als eingeladen markieren” disappear from the menu. Instead you'll see “Einladung zurücksetzen” (reset invitation). The guest then counts as not invited again, and you can, for example, still send them an email. The sent date is removed from their history.

“Link kopieren” always stays in the menu. It's not an inviting action but a sharing one: even someone who replied long ago sometimes needs their personal link again, for example to read through or change their reply.

Some guests simply come through the link you posted in the family group and say yes without you ever inviting them individually. For these guests: anyone who said yes, no or “Vielleicht” (maybe) clearly received the invitation. That's why they drop out of the “X Einladungen senden” (send X invitations) button above the list, are skipped in bulk sends, and the invite actions disappear from the three-dot menu. So you can't accidentally contact anyone twice.

You can also invite by email straight from your guest list, individually with “Per E-Mail einladen” in the three-dot menu or all at once with the button at the top right that shows the number of open invitations. For that, the guest needs a saved email address, and you need Premium. Without active Premium, the “Premium freischalten” (unlock Premium) dialog opens and takes you to Einstellungen → Premium freischalten (Settings → unlock Premium). Everything about templates, sending and reminders is in the Einladungen (Invitations) area.

Then they already count as invited, either because an email has gone out, because you marked them, or because they've already replied. In the first two cases, you get the actions back with “Einladung zurücksetzen”. If they've replied, there's intentionally no reset, because they'd still count as invited anyway.

Do plus-ones have a personal link too?
Yes, as soon as you copy it. Plus-ones with their own entry in your list, and guests who signed up themselves through your general link, start without a code. When you choose “Link kopieren” for them, they get their own code at that moment, and from then on the link belongs to them. A plus-one that only appears as an indented row below their main guest doesn't have their own entry, and therefore no link of their own either.

Can a guest change their reply later?
Yes, as long as the reply lock is off. With their personal link, they simply fill in the form again, and the new reply replaces the old one. If you've switched the lock on, allow a change with “Änderung erlauben” (allow change) in the three-dot menu and then send them their link.
