You don't have to keep checking whether someone has replied. The bell at the top right of the bar collects everything that happens with your event and lets you know in real time. A red dot on the bell means: there is something new.
Reading and clearing notifications
Click the bell icon at the top right, right next to the search. The „Benachrichtigungen" (notifications) list opens.
Unread entries are highlighted in colour and carry a dot. One click on an entry marks it as read.
If that is too fiddly for you, click „Alle gelesen" (all read) at the top, and the whole list is done in one go.
The 20 newest notifications are shown. If nothing has happened yet, it says „Keine Benachrichtigungen" (no notifications).
These are the notifications you get
About your guests: „Neue Zusage" (new acceptance), „Absage erhalten" (decline received), „Vielleicht-Antwort" (maybe reply) and „Neuer Gästebuch-Eintrag" (new guestbook entry).
About your page: „Meilenstein erreicht!" (milestone reached!) as soon as your event page has 50, 100, 250, 500, 1,000, 2,500 or 5,000 views. A small reason to celebrate in between. 🎉
About your Premium: „Laufzeit endet bald" (your term ends soon), „Laufzeit endet in Kürze" (your term ends very soon), „Laufzeit abgelaufen" (term expired) and „Zahlung fehlgeschlagen" (payment failed). We remind you about the end of your term 30 and 7 days beforehand, by email as well.
About support: „Antwort auf deine Bug-Meldung" (reply to your bug report) when our team has replied to a report from you.
Good to know: One click on a notification marks it as read, and most notifications take you straight to the right place: to the guest who replied, to your gallery, to your address in the settings or, for „Antwort auf deine Bug-Meldung", to the history of your report, where you can reply to our team right away.
Notifications belong to one event
The list always shows only the notifications for the event you have currently selected. If you are planning several events, switch via Meine Events (my events) and look in the bell there again.
When the two of you plan together
If someone is planning your event with you (Einstellungen → Gemeinsam planen, Settings → plan together), you share the bell. You both see the same notifications, and whatever one of you marks as read is read for the other one too. New ones are „… plant jetzt mit“ (… is now planning with you), „… plant nicht mehr mit“ (… is no longer planning with you), „Einladung abgelehnt“ (invitation declined) and „… verwaltet jetzt das Event“ (… now manages the event).
The emails about new replies, guest photos and guestbook entries, on the other hand, are something each of you sets for yourself, under Einstellungen → Allgemein (Settings → General) in „E-Mail-Benachrichtigungen“ (email notifications). Replies from our team to a report from you only appear in the bell of an event you plan on your own. Otherwise you will find them under Was ist neu → Meine Meldungen (what's new → my reports).
Frequently asked questions
Nothing arrives for me at all.
Notifications about replies, the guestbook and milestones only appear once your page is published, because before that your guests can't reply yet. While you are designing, the bell stays quiet.
An old notification has disappeared.
The list shows the 20 newest entries. Older ones drop out. You can still find all replies in full with your guests, nothing gets lost there.
I haven't created an event yet and never see a notification.
That's right. Notifications always belong to an event. As soon as you have created one, the bell fills up.
