Your dashboard is your planning headquarters. So that you never have to go looking, here is a calm tour of where everything lives and how to get anywhere in two seconds.
The navigation on a computer
On the left there is a narrow bar of icons. Hover over one and a small tooltip tells you which area is behind it. If you prefer them written out, click the little arrow „Ausklappen" (expand) right at the bottom: the bar gets wider and shows every name next to its icon. Your browser remembers how you set it up for next time.
The areas sit in two blocks, separated by a fine line:
Top: Übersicht (overview), Webseite (website), Gäste (guests), Rückmeldungen (replies), Einladungen (invitations) and Galerie (gallery). This is where everyday life happens.
Bottom: Meine Events (my events), Einstellungen (settings), Integrationen (integrations) and Was ist neu (what's new).
Behind „Webseite" sits everything about your event page, split into three tabs: „Übersicht" (Overview) with the live preview, your status, your address and your term, „Umschlag-Intro" (Envelope intro) with every envelope, and „Einstellungen" (Settings) with the password protection and the reply deadline. The editor opens from the overview with „Bearbeiten" (edit). This item used to be called „Editor".
The little numbers on the entries
Gäste: as long as nobody has accepted yet, it quietly shows in grey how many guests you have added. From the first acceptance onwards the number switches to the brand colour and shows how many people are coming, children included. That is the number everything is heading towards.
Rückmeldungen: how many answers you have not read yet. It disappears when you visit the page.
Galerie: how many photos and guest book entries are waiting for your approval.
Integrationen and Was ist neu: how much is new there since you last looked in.
In the narrow bar the numbers shrink to a dot on the icon. The grey guest number deliberately does not get one, because a dot always reads as „deal with me", and the guests you have added are simply a piece of information.
The search
The quickest route is the search field in the top bar. Click into it or press Ctrl+K, on a Mac ⌘K. Then simply start typing.
Pages: type „Rückmeldungen" or „Einladungen" and press Enter.
Guests: type a name and you land straight on that guest's profile.
Actions: for example „Umschlag-Intro", „Passwortschutz", „Antwortfrist", „Laufzeit verwalten" (manage your term) or „Subdomain ändern" (change subdomain).
The arrow keys walk you through the results, Enter opens the selected one.
On your phone
There is a header at the top. On the left the menu icon with the three lines, next to it the heart, and below that where you currently are and which event is meant. On the right sit the search and the bell.
Tap the menu icon and the menu slides in from the left. It holds every area, in the same two blocks as on a computer, so Rückmeldungen, Galerie and Integrationen too, which never had room on a phone before. Right at the bottom of the menu you will find your name, „Konto" (account), the „Hilfe-Center" (help centre) and „Abmelden" (sign out).
You close the menu with the cross at the top right, with a tap next to the menu, or simply by choosing an area.
Good to know: You can use the Webseite page on your phone in peace as well, right up to publishing. Only the designing in the editor needs room for the preview and therefore a computer. That is why you will find the note there that we are happy to send you the link by email.
Frequently asked questions
Where has the „Editor" menu item gone?
It is called „Webseite" now. One click takes you to the overview of your page, and from there „Bearbeiten" opens the editor.
Where has the bar at the bottom of my phone gone?
We swapped it for the header with the menu icon. The bar only had room for five entries; now you really can reach every area with two taps.
Where do I find „Statistiken"?
That page no longer exists. Your numbers are on the overview and above your guest list, every single answer under Rückmeldungen.
Where do I switch between several events?
Under Meine Events. The entry sits in the lower block of the sidebar, and on your phone in the menu behind the menu icon. A tap on the heart at the top left takes you there as well. Almost everything in the dashboard, from the numbers to the notifications, refers to the event that is currently selected.
